Gourmet Cooking Instruction at PN Hoffman’s Alta Condominium

Washington DC: PN Hoffman announced today the addition of CulinAerie, a food and wine instruction venture, to the retail space of The Alta at Thomas Circle. The Alta, located downtown at 1133 14th Street, NW, was recently completed and named the District’s first LEED-certified residential new construction condominium by the U.S. Green Building Council.

CulinAerie will occupy approximately 3,800 square feet of retail space and feature two state-of-the-art kitchen classrooms for both participation and demonstration cooking classes. Opening is anticipated for early fall 2008, with reservations being accepted beginning July 1st.

Created by veteran chefs and instructors Susan Holt and Susan Watterson, CulinAerie will feature both single subscription classes and private events. Class offerings will include baking and pastry, wine tastings, series classes, technique workshops, and international cuisine seminars. Private bookings will feature a wide selection of culinary-inspired events such as team-building, amateur iron chef competitions, holiday and celebratory entertainment, and alumni and corporate gatherings.
