The Center’s Board of Directors was integral in its design. “This project was fun for our development team because the space is for kids. We worked closely with the directors of the Children’s Center to tailor this space to fill their needs. What a great outcome,” said PN Hoffman CEO Monty Hoffman. This joint effort is reflected in the state-of-the-art safety features, the miniature child-friendly fixtures, and the same bright colors as used in the current facility located on 43rd Street, NW. In the past, the Center has typically had long waitlists, but the new building will allow the program to accommodate 40 additional children. The Center, which primarily serves families who live or work in Ward 3, accepts children from three months to five years old. For more information on enrollment, visit www.ccpcc.org. “We are proud to partner with the DC government, the neighborhood, and these developers to bring to Ward 3 this innovative childcare space which directly addresses the critical shortage of quality childcare programs in Washington, D.C.,” said the Center’s executive director Lisa Danahy. “This is the culmination of seven years of hard work, pooled resources, and a commitment to educating the youngest members of our community.” The grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception, as well as a recital put on by children currently enrolled in the childcare program. In attendance will be the children and their families, employees of the development firms, and several DC government officials. Since 1993, PN Hoffman has been developing extraordinary upscale condominium residences and mixed-use projects helping transform neighborhoods in Washington, D.C. The Company is deeply committed to serving the communities of Washington and has completed over 30 developments in the City since its inception.
