Yes! Organic signs on as a Union Row retailer

Washington, DC: PN Hoffman announced today that Yes! Organic will occupy one of the six retail spaces on the first floor of the Company’s Union Row project, located in the U Street Corridor.

“The Union Row project is part of the overall rejuvenation of the historic U Street corridor,” said Councilmember Jim Graham (D-Ward One). “Yes! Organic will offer residents natural foods as part of a unique shopping experience.”

The store, which is over 5,000 square feet, is scheduled to open in the spring of 2008. This will be the fifth location for the DC-based grocer. There are several other retailers expressing significant interest in the remaining spaces, and the Company is working diligently towards signing additional leases. Among the potential retailers are a new restaurant, a drop-off dry cleaner, and a large national chain store.

“We are very pleased to have Yes! Organic as a part of our building,” said Josh Dix, vice president of development at PN Hoffman. “It will certainly fulfill a need for this area, and, along with our other prospective retailers, it will serve as a catalyst for further development in this vibrant neighborhood.”
