Thursday, November 2, 2006: PN Hoffman was named a winner at the 2006 Monument Awards Gala for its building, The Alta at Thomas Circle.

Sponsored by the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association, the Monument Awards honors the homes and communities that represent the finest the industry has to offer. The award criteria included floor plan innovation, balance of design, value, curb appeal, and of course, consumer acceptance.

More than 180 award entries in 67 categories covered a wide breadth of price and entry options. The many categories included varied facets of the building industry, from single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums, to site and land planning, high-tech innovation and high-end custom homes. Developments from rural Virginia to Annapolis and the Delaware beaches were represented.

According to Larry Nordhauser, Chairman of the Monument Awards, “The Washington new homes market is one of the most competitive in the country. The Monument Awards program is the most prestigious residential design competition in this market. Winning an award translates into true values for the consumer.”

The Alta at Thomas Circle, ideally situated between the downtown business district and the neighborhood conveniences of Logan Circle, consists of open floor plans and innovative loft-style designs. Soon to be the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified condominium in The District, the building incorporates sustainable design features such as a green roof system as well as eco-friendly materials. A few select residences remain available for sale.
